About Us
The Fighting Cocks is a traditional country pub & restaurant set in the picturesque village of Middleton St George.
In 1825, the Stockton & Darlington Railway opened and the original track ran past the The Fighting Cocks. As the pub sold tickets, it is widely reported that, to this day, it is the world's oldest surviving railway ticket office.
